These projects arise from working with our communities and responding to their needs in these challenging times.
Throughout the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 we ran popular community take-away street food events and socially distanced festivals, helping businesses large and small to survive. These included Barsham Brewery, Wymondham Football Club, The Black Horse in Norwich, and The Norfolk Rural Agricultural Association together with more than 200 craftspeople, musicians and food vendors.
In 2022, we are aiming to involve young people in your festivals. We plan to put them in the driving seat and allow them to direct our community festivals. Some will be held in secondary school venues at the weekends. But it won’t be school as we know it. We are talking live music, art, street food, stalls and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Traders contribute a share of the profits they generate from ClearCompany events and online sales to our fundraising venture. Our initiative will create a permanent venue in or around Norwich where Norfolk street food vendors, artists, craftspeople and musicians and entertainers can showcase their work to a wide audience. It will be a creative space to buy local and experience the range of delicious food and vibrant entertainment Norfolk has to offer. We are currently considering various locations. Watch this space!
At the heart of everything we do is our community. The driving force behind ClearCompany is to nurture and support individuals to grow, thrive and engage positively with their community. We are developing advice and advocacy services to offer support to local people experiencing tough times who need a little help to get through overwhelming challenges that may be negatively impacting their quality of life.
